We’ve been working with essential oils since 1982. We’re proud to share that our suppliers grow many of their own botanicals, and work directly with farmers around the planet for oils that grow in different climates than we have in the USA. We bottle our essential oils in cobalt bottles with euro droppers so you have single drop control.
Essential oils are very highly concentrated. Straight essential oils can melt plastic or remove the finish on wood. We strongly advise against the use of essential oils straight on the skin or mucous membrane areas of the body (eyes, digestive tract, down “there”, etc). Always dilute in skin-safe carrier oil for topical use. While some food companies use essential oils in flavoring things like gum or chocolate or soda or water, those oils are very, very diluted.
Humanity has employed plant oils for thousands of years for flavoring our foods & perfuming our bodies and homes, as well as for the aromatherapy benefits. While we strongly believe in the power of aromatherapy, we’re not doctors and we make no medical claims. Fortunately, there are plenty of good sources for researching benefits in books and online. There’s no such official thing as “therapeutic grade” essential oil. That term is made-up branding and is simply a registered trademark through the US Patent & Trademark Office. Much like “finger-licking good” isn’t a technical grade of fried chicken, it’s just marketing!
We are very picky about our suppliers and over the years have narrowed our choice of suppliers very selectively. Before using essential oils, consult a doctor if you are pregnant, lactating, or suffering health problems. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool dark area.
