My first craft was sewing, learned on my mother’s lap as a child. I made these tea towels from heavy linen, and had the silk-screening done by a local printer, as I am not the world’s best silk-screener!
The fabric is heavy cream-colored linen; rugged fibers that can last a century, with eco-friendly water-based ink. Stay-stitched across the ends with fringed edges, and twin-stitched in crisply contrasting black along the side seams, each towel is individually hand-made and varies slightly from her sistren.
Like all our designs, these towels balance rusticity with sophistication, offering enduring quality without being too precious to use. Perfectly sized for use as hand towels or tea towels, eclectic enough for any decor.
Care instructions: The slubs of the fabric give each towel its own individual character. Shrinkage will be about 8-10%. Machine washable & dry-able, but air-drying is better for the fibers. Hot water and machine drying will increase shrinkage.
Available options are the Witchy towel and the Cornucopia towel. Please make a note when checking out to let me know which design you’d like!
